IMAGES FROM STAFFIN SCHOOL IN THE 1960S

A SELECTION of excellent black and white photographs which were taken of pupils and staff at Staffin School in the 1960s by teacher Iain Willoughby. During this period he used a 120-mm roll film, box-type camera. Iain moved to Skye in 1961 and was a travelling technical teacher, working at all of Skye’s outlying schools. After several years he became a full-time teacher at Portree High School. Iain has always been a keen photographer, developing and printing his own photographs at home. Thanks to Iain and son Gordon for allowing us to publish the pictures, click on the individual images for a close up.
